The Company: ATA Recruitment are proud to be working with an industry leading client in the production of materials for the building industry from recycled sources, operating across 3 various sites in the UK and having sites worldwide. My client currently prides themselves in providing the best quality products and developing the business at a sustainable rate.
At their site in Welwyn Garden City, they have recently invested a fair few million pounds in updating their site so it can run as efficiently as possible. They are currently looking to invest a further million pounds to help the growth further. The site is always looking to grow using Continuous Improvement (CI) to upgrade via projects and continuously improve efficiency, providing ample opportunity to get involved.
With this role, you will be working on rolling mills, saw lines, gas burners, separators, and filtration systems.
The Role: As a Maintenance Engineer you will be:
- Joining the electrical team and working as part of the team with various engineers, a team leader, and an apprentice.
- Mechanically fault finding, working with components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, mills, and more.
- Reacting to mechanical breakdowns as well as working along a PPM schedule to proactively keep the site manufacturing their product.
- Supporting with projects and installation when required.
- Potential to step up into a team leader role and get involved with projects and continuous improvement to grow the site and keep it advancing.
The Candidate: In a Maintenance Engineer, I am looking for:
- An engineer with an established engineering qualification.
- Someone happy working as part of a team but able to work independently when needed.
- Confident fault finding electrically and working on three-phase motors.
- A quick learner who can adapt and get along with team members and potentially show the capability to step up to a Team Leader.
The Package: As a Maintenance Engineer you will receive:
- An annual salary of Β£47,000.
- Potential to earn easily Β£50,000 including bonuses and safety bonuses.
- Days only shifts β Mon β Friday β flexi.
- Opportunities to progress within the next 6-12 months.
