Position: Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor

Shift: Mon‑Fri Days

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location: Dagenham

Our client operates a large safety‑critical industrial facility with over 100 storage assets and a turnover of over £100 million. They rent space to companies to store material in bulk quantities. With a solid maintenance function and a supportive environment, the company is investing £10 million in upgrading equipment, facilities and Continuous Improvement projects.

Role

As a Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively scanning for any health and safety issues on site, acting accordingly including investigating or even stopping work completely if unsafe
  • Working collaboratively with the Compliance Manager to identify which policies need to be updated in accordance with UK law
  • Ensuring work is conducted in line with ISO 9001 and other key regulations
  • Supervising training and inductions relating to Permit to Work processes
  • Communicating enhanced internal SHEQ policies to all senior managers

About You

The ideal Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor will have the following:

  • A recognised health and safety qualification
  • Experience working with a COMAH site is very beneficial, though not essential
  • A sound understanding of health and safety principles
  • A continuous improvement mindset
