I am working with my client based in West Yorkshire who require an Export Packer to join the business on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. My client designs, installs and manufactures process capital equipment.

For the position of Export Packer, you will be required to conduct the following duties:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare machinery and components for shipment, including designing and assembling packing crates.
  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, slide loaders, and other lifting equipment.
  • Load and unload export containers and company vehicles efficiently.
  • Maintain stock levels of packing materials and timber and keep storage and working areas tidy.
  • Follow Safe Systems of Work and assist with any additional logistics or operational tasks as needed.

The successful Export Packer will need to have the following attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of packing machinery, picking processes, and logistics best practice.
  • FLT and slide-loader licences, with ability to operate lifting equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
