The predicted salary is between 34 - 34 £ per hour.

The business is now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the internal team and to ensure downtime is to a minimum whilst maintaining standards of a variety of equipment.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:

  • Upkeep and maintenance of heavy mechanical machinery.
  • Reactive maintenance, including fault finding and replacing components on a variety of machines such as conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, kiln cars, bearings, and chains.
  • Preventative maintenance involving project work and working with a CMMS system to complete planned maintenance.
  • Installation and fitting of mechanical components.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous mechanical experience within a heavy-duty industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical maintenance and fitting experience within an industrial engineering background.
  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • Must be able to pass a drugs and alcohol test.

The benefits of this Maintenance Engineer contract are:

  • Established rolling 2-month contract.
  • 4 On 4 Off days and nights.
  • Minimum of 48 hours per week available.
  • Outside IR35.
  • Immediate Start.
