We're working with a global engineering business that designs, builds, and maintains high-end automated systems for major UK clients. They're looking to expand their resident engineering team at a fully automated site in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting a 24/7 logistics operation that runs some of the most advanced equipment in the sector.
What's on offer:
- Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST3) – fully automated logistics & distribution site
- Salary: £45,444 base + £5,000 shift allowance = £50,444 total
- Shifts: Monday–Friday rotating double days (6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6 incl. Sat AM finish)
- Overtime: 1.5x Saturdays | 2x Sundays | double time after 10PM
- Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays

The Role:
Join a dedicated on-site maintenance team supporting a high-speed automated system used for nationwide distribution. The equipment includes stacker cranes, conveyors, palletisers, A-frames, robotics, and wrapping systems—all integrated with Siemens S7 controls.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering a 60/40 split of planned and reactive maintenance
- Electrical fault-finding on sensors, relays, contactors, and inverters
- Mechanical repairs on bearings, rollers, shafts, and pneumatics
- I/O checking on Siemens PLCs (no programming required)
- Supporting continuous improvement and ensuring safe working at height (up to 10m)
