The Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

As a qualified mechanical maintenance engineer/fitter, you will be responsible for keeping a fast-paced manufacturing plant operational and safe.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment.
  • Practical hands-on experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, pumps, gearboxes.
  • A team player with a strong commitment to safe working practices.

What the Maintenance Engineer will bring to the table:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the production plant.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Operational Excellence: Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.

The Maintenance Engineer will work regular days Monday to Friday 7:00am – 4pm.
