HSE Supervisor Contractor Role
(Daily Rate: £350 £400 per day)
- Location: Chester (onsite)
- Hours: Monday Friday, full-time
- Contract Length: 3 months initial contract with extensions
We are seeking a reliable HSE Supervisor to support the site HSE Manager on a large UK structural steel project. This role provides hands-on HSE oversight and the chance to work with a multi-national construction team.
The Role
You will assist the HSE Manager in maintaining high standards of safety on site, supporting accident investigations, enforcing RAMS and Lift Plans, and delivering safety briefings to operatives.
Responsibilities
- Support overall health, safety, and environmental performance on site
- Assist in implementing HSE policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation
- Support accident/incident investigations and RIDDOR reporting
- Help coordinate the permit-to-work system
- Assist in preparation and enforcement of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Lift Plans
- Conduct site inspections, deliver toolbox talks, and assist with site audits
- Provide day-to-day HSE guidance to operatives
About You
- NEBOSH certification (or equivalent)
- CSCS card
- Background in construction and manufacturing
- Crane operations experience is paramount
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with site teams
