Field Service Engineer
£38,000-£45,000 + Vehicle + generous overtime – anticipated earnings £50k-60k
Based in South or West Yorkshire, commutable to Leeds

We are a specialist manufacturing business in the West Yorkshire area producing bespoke machinery and systems for a portfolio of blue‑chip customers in the UK and abroad. We have an excellent reputation and are a market leader, offering job security and longevity.
Role
As a result of continued growth, the company is looking to add an additional service engineer to the department.
- Approximately 50% of the week spent in the engineering workshop: assembly and test of mechanical and hydraulic systems, strip down & assessment/repair of equipment
- Approximately 50% of the week on customer sites across the UK: installation and commissioning of machinery, planned service visits, attending emergency breakdowns
This is a great opportunity for a field service engineer looking to reduce travel but not stuck; also for a maintenance or mechanical fitter seeking a varied role.
Required Experience
- Apprentice trained, holding a minimum NVQ3 qualification
- Skilled in diagnosing faults in hydraulic systems
- Electrical or PLC experience is a bonus; training can be given
- Flexible to travel and work away from home
