Our client, who specialise within intralogistics, material handling and system integration for the warehousing industry work with blue chip companies across Europe to provide automation and residential maintenance support. The company, who turnover north of 700 million euros have been operational since the 1950s. However, with the need and rise of automated machinery our client has grown significantly over the last 20 years, becoming a supplier of choice of high-end automated solutions. A need has arisen for a store’s controller with an engineering background to join their established site in the Midlands. About the role As an engineering stores controller, you will be responsible for the following: – Managing the whole engineering stores area, managing large stock holdings. – Ensuring the business has the correct spare parts in order to complete maintenance. – Supporting with the management of the supply chain. – Processing Po numbers and processing invoices. – Supporting with the coordination of onsite planned maintenance. – Working within a large engineering budget. – Testing of components and faults to be logged, tagged and shipped to part supplier for repair About you As an engineering store controller you should have/be the following: Engineering background, ideally previous work as a maintenance engineer. Experience working in a stores/planning capacity. Working knowledge and practical experience using Microsoft Excell. Ability to work within a fast-paced automated environment. The ability to work within a proactive nature. FULL UK drivers licence. Recognised engineer qualification (Level 3).
