We are supporting a major automation project and are looking for an organised and technically minded Electrical Project Engineer to provide documentation, reporting, and defect coordination support across testing and commissioning activities. This is a documentation and coordination-focused role, working closely with engineering and integration teams. The position is primarily office-based, with occasional site attendance (office and site are co-located).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track defects using Jira and TestRail
- Maintain defect logs, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Own and update test documentation and scripts
- Liaise with engineering and integration teams to clarify and resolve issues
- Produce project status reports and progress updates
- Attend site occasionally to verify defect fixes and gather updates
Requirements
- Background in automation or material handling systems (e.g. conveyors, cranes, shuttles, PLC/WCS/WMS/TMS environments)
- Experience in commissioning, system integration, testing, or project engineering
- Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills
- Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, and defect management workflows
- ECS or CSCS card for site access
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
