Role: Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor

Shift: Mon-Fri Days

Salary: Up to £55,000

With a strong turnover of over £100 million, they rent space to companies to store material in bulk quantities. Our client has a solid maintenance function with a supportive environment, and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor to add to their team! Our client has a clear, structured plan to invest £10 million in upgrading their equipment, facilities and to make way for Continuous Improvement projects!

The Role

As a Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively scanning for any health and safety issues on site, acting accordingly including investigating or even stopping work completely if unsafe
  • Work collaboratively with the Compliance Manager to identify which policies need to be updated in accordance with UK law
  • Ensure work is conducted in line with ISO 9001 and other key regulations
  • Supervise training and inductions relating to Permit to Work processes
  • Communicate enhanced internal SHEQ policies to all senior managers

About You

The ideal Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor will have the following:

  • A recognised health and safety qualification
  • Experience working with a COMAH site is very beneficial, though not essential
  • A sound understanding of health and safety principles
  • A nature Continuous Improvement mindset
