Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias), £50,000, Corby Northamptonshire, 4 on 4 off days and nights. OTE of plus £55,000 thanks to overtime and bonuses, pension, plus other site-specific benefits.
We are recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join a large, well-invested state-of-the-art automated cold storage facility, performing both planned and reactive maintenance at heights of up to 120ft, in temperatures as low as -23°C. This is a high-performing facility with state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced engineering team. You'll benefit from an excellent rota that allows for regular long weekends off while earning a strong base salary and enjoying long-term job security.
As a maintenance engineer, you'll work with a range of heavy-duty automated machinery including:
- conveyors
- cranes
- monorails
- cooling systems
- oxygen reduction systems for fire suppressants
Fabrication and welding experience is a plus.
To succeed in this role as a maintenance engineer, you'll need:
- A strong background in mechanical maintenance within industrial, logistics or manufacturing environments
- Confidence with strip-downs, rebuilds, and reactive mechanical fault diagnosis
- An NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in engineering (ex-Forces welcome)
- A proactive attitude and flexibility for overtime and development
