Rate: £33.00 - £37.00 p/h (Outside IR35)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in Cheshire. Our client is an established manufacturing business running a busy multi-line production facility with a strong, full order book. Due to increased demand, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Bias Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent basis.
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer your key duties will include:
- Carrying out reactive breakdown maintenance across a fast-paced production environment with multiple filling lines
- Setting lines up at the start of runs and ensuring change parts are correctly fitted
- Supporting and troubleshooting labelling and specialist equipment during production
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime and resolve issues quickly
- Providing hands-on, multi-skilled engineering support, with an emphasis on mechanical fault finding
The successful Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will have the following attributes:
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing or fast-paced FMCG environment
- Multi-skilled with a strong mechanical bias
- Experience working with filling equipment and labellers
- Comfortable working in a reactive, high-pressure environment
- Able to work around noise and strong smells associated with the production environment
