The company: An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the UK's leading manufacturers. A true market leader within their field, they provide the highest quality products to all the major supermarkets and supply own label and branded. This company is a highly successful business with a group turnover £1.2bn. As a company, they have experienced huge organic growth. At present, the business is looking to develop its team of engineers through development programmes, internal and external training and recruitment of new Engineers to enhance their expanding team. Joining our client, you will be joining a business that places emphasis on training, development and progression of their engineers. The site in Leicestershire is one of their most established and an important cog in the company wheel, it’s a large profit contributor providing extreme job security. You will be joining a company that looks after their engineers’ future, progressing them to lead positions.

The role of Maintenance Manager will be as follows:

  • To develop, mentor and lead an established team of engineers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement using models to improve the reliability of assets.
  • Ensure all data is correctly recorded and reported to conform with audits and PPMs.
  • Manage 3rd party contractors, putting in place expected working standards for work to be completed.
  • Assist the project teams with short and long-term projects, providing engineering technical expertise.
  • Look at ways to reduce cost across the site, driving root cause analysis.
  • Manage the team by KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Work closely with technical, production, hygiene and H&S to establish strong relationships.

Experience & background required for the role of Maintenance Manager:

  • Experienced Manager
  • You must have worked in an engineering, manufacturing or FMCG related environment.
  • You must possess a relevant Engineering qualification.
