The Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, leading a team of engineers, and driving continuous improvement across a highly automated production environment. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and delivering planned maintenance activities while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of 4 Maintenance Engineers
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities across the site
  • Drive continuous improvement and TPM initiatives
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed
  • Support reactive maintenance and breakdown response activities
  • Manage maintenance records and spare parts inventory
  • Carry out condition‑based monitoring activities
  • Perform plant isolation and permit‑to‑work procedures safely
  • Support maintenance of automated production equipment and material handling systems
  • Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and engineering standards
  • Work closely with production teams to maximise plant performance and uptime

Candidate Requirements

  • Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience within a manufacturing, production, automation, FMCG, logistics, or industrial environment
  • Previous supervisory, team leader, or senior engineering experience desirable
  • Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Experience with automated machinery, conveyors, material handling equipment, or production systems
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
