Location: Daventry

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 08:00–12:30 & 13:30–17:00, Friday: 08:00–12:30 & 13:30–16:00

Salary: £23,364 per annum (after the first 12 weeks)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Bodywork Prepper to join a specialist team with over 50 years of expertise in precision paintwork and restoration. Our clients include elite motorsport and heritage automotive sectors, working with vehicles from Formula 1, Formula 3, GT racing teams, and high-end restoration projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about cars—ideally a young enthusiast (17–18 or early career)—who wants to turn a genuine hobby into a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing body panels in fibreglass, carbon fibre, aluminium, steel, and plastics
  • Surface preparation for primer and topcoat application
  • Working on prestigious vehicles including: Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus Cars, Jaguar (including replica and restoration projects)
  • Supporting detailed race car and historic vehicle restorations, including complex accident repairs (e.g., reconstructing vintage race components)
  • You may also work on specialist heritage and miniature automotive projects with teams such as The Little Car Company.
