I am currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in warehouse automation and logistics solutions. They are seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing operation of a highly automated distribution facility in Greater Manchester.
For this position, you will be required to carry out the following duties:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a fully integrated automation system
- Diagnose and repair faults on automated stacker cranes and pallet crane systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, sortation equipment and automated pallet handling systems
- Support trailer loading and unloading automation processes
- Work safely at height, including maintenance on cranes and high-bay racking systems
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational disruption in a high-throughput environment
The successful contractor will have the following attributes:
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification (essential)
- Electrically biased, ideally multi-skilled
- Proven experience in FMCG environments
- Working at Height and Rescue from Height certification (essential)
- First Aid at Height (desirable)
- Comfortable working 12-hour days and nights on a rotating shift pattern
- Ability to work independently on shift when required
- Experience with bespoke warehouse control software advantageous
