The Company: A specialist engineering firm who specialise in the FMCG sector in the North/East Yorkshire, designing and manufacturing a range of kit including process and systems for a portfolio of blue-chip FMCG customers in the UK and abroad. They have an excellent reputation in the industry and boast an enviable reputation as market leader. They have an incredibly settled team and offer unrivalled job security and longevity. As the orders are continuously growing worldwide across South America, US, Europe, they are now looking to add an additional field service engineer to their department.
The role of the service engineer is as follows:
- 60-70% of the work will involve travelling and staying away across the UK, Europe and internationally.
- Installation and commissioning of machinery.
- Planned service visits.
- Attending emergency breakdowns.
This is a great opportunity for a field service engineer looking for a varied role who doesn't want to be stuck in the same place all the time, or maybe a maintenance engineer or an experienced service engineer looking for a more varied role with a mix of workshop and site work.
Required Experience:
- The field service engineer will be apprentice trained and hold a minimum qualification of NVQ 2 or 3.
- You must be skilled in diagnosing faults both mechanically and electrically.
- Experience within install, commission, service and maintenance.
- Ideally have experience within a manufacturing or FMCG industry within the packaging sector, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You must be flexible to travel and work away from home.
