The Company: My client is an international manufacturer that has been established for over 50 years. They are a cash‑rich, profitable firm with the UK alone turning over £100 million. They are in need of a mechanical bias maintenance engineer to complement a 24/7 production site. They employ circa 3,000 people in over 70 locations globally and run a highly technical FMCG manufacturing environment with an array of complex kit producing to a variety of sectors including food and beverage and e‑commerce.
Role Overview: As the Mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance of all machinery across the plant operating a permanent night shift.
Key Duties:
- Maintaining an organized PPM schedule.
- Handling reactive maintenance tasks.
- Preparing handovers and shift reports.
- Ability to read, interpret and markup drawings.
Successful Candidate:
- Engineering qualifications at Level 3+ or equivalent.
- Excellent mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to electrically fault find, working with sensors, relays, contactors and able to swap out like for like.
