A growing manufacturing business in Leicestershire is looking for an experienced Assembly Manager / Production Manager to lead assembly and production operations within a bespoke turnkey engineering environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on improving productivity, quality, team performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
The Role
- Oversee daily assembly and production activities, ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are achieved while leading and developing a skilled manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day assembly and production operations
- Leading, training, and developing production staff
- Monitoring workflow, productivity, and manufacturing performance
- Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
- Ensuring quality standards, SOPs, and health & safety procedures are followed
- Supporting stock control and production planning activities
- Using ERP/MRP systems to support production and traceability
- Analysing production data and reporting performance metrics
About You
- You may currently work as a: Assembly Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, assembly, or production environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience improving manufacturing processes and performance
- ERP/MRP system knowledge
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience
