The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established and highly invested manufacturing site in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, automated environment with significant ongoing investment in machinery, technology, and site improvements. You’ll be working with advanced manufacturing systems including robotics, automated production lines, and end‑of‑line packaging machinery. The business prides itself on maintaining high engineering standards and offers long‑term stability with opportunities to develop your technical skills. We are willing to put you through external courses; I have successfully placed an engineer in this business and they’re funding his NVQ3 in Electrical Engineering.
The Role
- As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment runs efficiently and reliably.
- Planned and reactive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Working on robotics, automated machinery, and end‑of‑line packaging equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
- Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A strong track record within a manufacturing or automated production environment.
- Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or packaging equipment (desirable).
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
- A proactive, hard‑working attitude and good reliability.
