Engineering Manager
Location: Cornwall
Salary: £75,000 + benefits
Relocation: Up to 3 months' rental accommodation support
Hours: Monday–Friday
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager ready to drive change within a major UK food manufacturing business?
We are looking for a strong engineering leader to improve team performance, develop technical capability and challenge established working practices.
This is an opportunity to shape engineering culture, improve reliability and make a measurable impact on site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a large engineering team, including Team Leaders.
- Drive change management and improve accountability across an established workforce.
- Develop engineers' mechanical, electrical and fault-finding skills.
- Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and increase OEE.
- Improve product changeovers and production efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance.
About You
You will be an experienced Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or similar, with a strong background in manufacturing engineering.
You will have:
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and Team Leaders.
- A track record of delivering change management and performance improvements.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Experience improving reliability, downtime and production efficiency.Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills.
Most importantly, you will be confident challenging the status quo, developing people and building a more proactive engineering culture.
