Our client has an expansive portfolio of brands under their name and a proud history of manufacturing across the Midlands. With a turnover of £200 million and a team of Engineers spanning 3 manufacturing sites, they are trusted manufacturers of global flavours with a passion for food and quality produce at the heart of everything they do. What you’ll be doing

As Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be working across 2 manufacturing sites (within 5 miles of each other) and will be responsible for supporting the Head of Engineer with leadership, direction and technical oversight for engineering teams across manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support, mentor, and develop site engineering and apprentices (currently 2 Engineers + 1 Apprentice).
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and best practices across both sites.
  • Drive a proactive engineering culture focused on safety, reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Help to develop competency frameworks for engineering personnel.
  • Support site leadership teams in delivering business objectives and engineering KPIs.
  • Provide engineering support and strategic guidance to site management teams.
  • Ensure engineering resources are effectively deployed across sites to support operational requirements.

Technical skills required:

  • PLC fault finding experience with solid electrical fault finding and LOTO experience.

What we’re looking for

The successful Maintenance Supervisor will need to have:

  • Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under time constraints/pressure.
  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team of Engineers within a maintenance function.
  • Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery.
  • Ideally a food background.
  • Desire to move into a more Senior Management role would be beneficial.
