The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving site performance through both planned and reactive maintenance activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical fault finding and maintenance on production machinery
  • Working with three‑phase motors, sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, breakers, switches, and power supplies
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Using test equipment including multimeter for diagnostics and fault finding
  • Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, rollers, bearings, pulleys, gearboxes, shafts, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects
  • Carrying out component replacements, strip‑downs, and rebuild work where required

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A recognised engineering qualification (ideally Electrical)
  • Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, utilities)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
