The Role:

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while contributing to continuous improvement across the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on modern production equipment
  • Working on three‑phase motors and electrical control systems (sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, etc.)
  • Fault‑finding using electrical schematics and test equipment (e.g. multimeters)
  • Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, bearings, rollers, and gearboxes
  • Maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Supporting occasional strip‑down and rebuild projects
  • Using a CMMS system (tablet‑based) for PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

The Person:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A recognised engineering qualification (ideally electrical)
  • Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, utilities)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
