Our client design, manufacture, and install special purpose metal fabricated units into major global clientele. They serve a host of commercial and industrial businesses, having secured multi-year partnerships to stabilise their continued growth. Their multiple revenue streams with major players in the market saw them reach £30M turnover and almost 200 UK staff.

They are looking to recruit a Junior Design Engineer with immediate effect.

The role of Junior Design Engineer will join an established team to create fabrication-ready 3D designs. Utilising Autodesk Inventor, the Junior Design Engineer will finalise designs to customer specifications, be involved during manufacturing to monitor progress, and work collaboratively to make improvements to current designs. The Junior Design Engineer will:

  • Produce CAD drawings on Autodesk Inventor, GA drawings, fabrication/manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
  • Work with engineering, operations, projects, and customers to support project delivery.
  • Suggest and implement design changes where required.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, on budget, and completed to timescales.
  • Follow internal processes and drawing standards.
