I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a major, well-established UK organisation for a skilled Building Services Technician to support operations across diverse sites. The Role
As a Building Services Technician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of key building systems. You’ll ensure facilities remain operational, efficient, and compliant with all relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out reactive repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure
- Support statutory compliance and health & safety standards across all sites
- Respond effectively to emergency maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and compliance records
- Manage contractors
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in building services, facilities management, or a similar environment
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Multi-skilled with a strong understanding of M&E systems
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
