We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery & Installations Driver to join our team, specialising in the delivery and professional installation of white goods and domestic appliances (e.g., washing machines, fridges, cookers, dishwashers). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, safe, and courteous delivery and installation of goods at customer properties, providing a high standard of customer service throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and deliver appliances to residential and commercial locations.
- Install and set up white goods and ensure they are in working order upon completion.
- Remove old or unwanted appliances when required.
- Carry out safety checks and test appliances post-installation if required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and customer paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing a friendly and professional service.
- Adhere to health & safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
- Report any issues, damages, or installation challenges promptly to Fleet Management.
- Work collaboratively with our Operations and Client team members.
- Provide accurate daily End Of Day reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivery driving and/or installation of white goods.
- Strong understanding of appliance installation (water/electric/gas connections).
- Physically fit – able to lift and manoeuvre heavy items safely.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic problem-solving ability and initiative on-site.
- Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
Would be nice:
- Previous similar experience.
- Gas Safe registration and/or electrical/plumbing installation qualifications or relevant job experience.
- Experience in a similar customer-facing logistics or service role.
- Knowledge of local area/efficient route planning.
Other:
- We can’t accept certain licence endorsements (e.g., TT, CD, DR, DG, AC, BA, MS).
- For our Insurance purposes, you should be 25+ years of age.
- Be able to pass a Criminal Records Check - Disclosure Scotland.
