FitzRoy are recruiting support workers for our Supported Living Plus Service in New Milton, Hampshire. Fernhill Court is a large service where we support up to eighteen adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, some of whom display behaviours that may challenge. Each individual has their own self-contained flat, with communal areas and a large garden for activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with all aspects of daily life, from personal care to managing finances, shopping, days out and walks in the local New Forest.
  • Provide care and support that is kind, patient and resilient, with a passion to make a difference.
  • Support individuals in social activities and community participation within Fernhill Court, including group and independent activities.

Requirements and qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred as you will be supporting people on trips out.
  • Experience in care is not required; training and support will be provided if you have the right values.
  • Note: Sponsorship for this role is not available.

Hours, shifts and pay

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time) or part-time options; shifts are a set pattern of mornings and afternoons, 7.5 hours per shift.
  • Early start from 7:00, latest finish by 22:00. Weekend work is essential and will be on a rotating basis; weekends may come with time off in the week.
  • Shift pay: Day shifts £12.55 per hour on weekdays and £13.80 on weekends; overtime adds £2.50; time and a half or double time for public holidays.
  • Annual leave: 30 days holiday (pro rata for part-time roles).
