Role Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of a retail workshop servicing a wide range of customer trailers and equipment.
- Oversee job bookings, customer communication and workflow planning to ensure efficient service delivery and turnaround times.
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of technicians, promoting high performance and strong workmanship.
- Ensure accurate job quoting, time management and documentation throughout the repair process.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships by providing updates, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Uphold OH&S standards, workshop compliance and a clean, organised working environment.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing or supervising a retail service workshop (transport, trailers or heavy vehicle industry preferred).
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, trailers or transport equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Strong organisational ability with experience scheduling work, managing priorities and allocating tasks.
- Highly safety-focused with strong leadership and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to be hands‑on when required.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new software and digital systems.
- Minimum of five years of workshop supervisory or management experience.
- Experience managing and leading a team of 7‑15 technicians.
