Manchester (1 office day, you decide the rest) | Up to £45k base + up to 50% commission
If you’re billing well but not seeing enough of it in your take-home… this is worth a look. We’re partnered with a high-growth tech recruitment start-up building a strong presence across the North West. Led by experienced recruiters, they’ve stripped out the usual agency nonsense and built something far more adult. No micromanagement. No KPI obsession. No fighting over roles. Just good recruiters, trusted to get on with it—and paid properly for it.
Why this role stands out
- Up to 50% commission (inclusive of base)
- Lower billing thresholds vs most agencies
- Own your market: No crossover. No internal competition. Build your own niche.
- Real flexibility: 37.5 hours, work them how you want, 1 office day, you choose the rest
- Collaborative culture: Roles are shared when needed—no territorial behaviour.
- Start-up upside: Shape your desk, your market, and your progression from day one.
The role
They’re hiring for two potential profiles:
- Software Development Recruiter (UK Market): Focus on any software vertical (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby etc.) Full ownership of your desk within your chosen niche.
- Tech Recruiter (Any UK Market): Open to any tech specialism (Data, AI, DevOps, Infrastructure, etc.) Freedom to build a market you already know and have traction in.
Both roles are 360 positions, giving you full control:
- Build and grow your own client base
- Leverage existing relationships for quick wins
- Work across the UK market (NW-focused but not restricted)
- Deliver high-quality, relationship-led recruitment
What they’re looking for
- Experience in UK tech recruitment
- Proven 360 billing experience (BD + delivery)
- Ideally Senior level, open to Principal
- A network you can tap into (clients and/or candidates)
- Evidence of building business, not just filling roles
- They care more about how you bill than the number itself. (£120k through new business > £250k on one account.)
Culture fit
This isn’t a KPI-heavy, sales-floor environment. They want:
- Down-to-earth, normal people
- Self-sufficient recruiters
- People who don’t need chasing
- Relationship-led operators (not overly salesy)
The business
- Small, high-performing team across multiple tech verticals
- UK-focused with flexibility to place nationally
- Built on trust, transparency, and performance
- Socials without forced culture (monthly lunch clubs, events etc.)
The opportunity
Ideal if you:
- Want to earn more for less billing
- Are fed up with micromanagement or rigid KPIs
- Want to properly own and build a desk
- Prefer a grown-up environment over a corporate machine
