We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal cashier to join our Accounts team. The role will be to support and participate in the client work undertaken by the team and is a full-time office-based position in the centre of Chester working Monday to Friday 8:45 am to 5:15 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing the firm’s financial transactions in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Performing bank reconciliations, client ledger postings, and TT/BACS payments
- Processing bills, credit notes, and handling staff expenses and petty cash
- Producing month-end reports and supporting general financial administration
- Using our case management system (Leap) to maintain accurate records
- Using Xero to record all business transactions
- Resolving routine problems and queries
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
Skills & Experience
- Previous Legal Cashier experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Teams
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
