The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent clinical care for patients by having the right equipment and consumables available at the right place at the right time.

The hours are 5.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday.

This is a key role integral to the efficient and effective operational day-to-day running of the At Home Dental domiciliary dental service, ensuring that all AHD vehicles are equipped, fuelled and ready for the clinical teams to leave the hubs by 8.30am.

Duties

  • Replenishment and replacement of stock and consumables as per van stock list, ensuring accurate and timely stock management.
  • Make ready the vehicles at the specific hubs.
  • Undertake a vehicle daily inspection (VDI), following a defined standard process and ensure records are completed accurately and in a timely manner to meet audit standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment in the vans, e. g. dental equipment, Defibrillators etc. are in good working order and checked daily with records updated appropriately.
  • Undertake a deep clean of the vehicles on a monthly basis, as directed by management team
  • Ensure that all ‘under the bonnet’ checks are undertaken and report to management team anything that needs replenishing or any issues.
  • Decontamination of instruments. Follow a defined process to ensure required standards are maintained in accordance with infection control policies and regulations.
  • Completion of daily, weekly and monthly checklists in accordance with CQC and Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM0105) requirements.
  • Alert management of any issues or concerns that may affect service provision and safe operation of vehicles through appropriate escalation and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
