Domiciliary Dentist
Flexible days, full-day shifts | Self-employed | Up to £450 per day
Looking for a more meaningful, lower-pressure way to practice dentistry?
At Home Dental is hiring a Domiciliary Dentist to provide high-quality private dental care to patients in their own homes, care homes, and community settings. If you want to choose how many days you work, see fewer patients per day, and help people who cannot reach a dental practice, this role suits you.
Why join At Home Dental?
- Up to £450 per day
- Flexible self-employed role
- Typically see around 7 to 9 patients per day
- No UDA targets or quota pressure
- No retention fees
- Low, predictable lab fees capped at 4%
- Fully equipped, surgery-standard mobile dental equipment
- Dedicated dental nurse support
- Strong operational and scheduling support
Why this role is different
This is not a typical high street practice role.
You'll have the opportunity to provide essential care to patients who may otherwise struggle to access a dentist, including older adults, people with limited mobility, and patients in care settings. It's a role that offers autonomy, variety, and purpose, with the time and support to focus on patient care rather than production targets.
For the right dentist, this is a genuinely rewarding alternative to traditional practice.
About the role
As a Domiciliary Dentist, you'll deliver private dental treatment in a mobile setup, working alongside an experienced dental nurse. You'll travel to patients in home and community settings, providing compassionate, high-quality care in an environment designed to support both patient comfort and clinical excellence.
No two days are the same, but every day offers the chance to do valuable work that patients and families truly appreciate.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver high-quality private dental care in domiciliary and community settings
- Treat patients who cannot easily attend a traditional dental practice
- Provide a calm, reassuring experience for elderly, anxious, or less mobile patients
- Work closely with a dedicated dental nurse who supports treatment delivery and logistics
- Maintain accurate clinical records using customized Dentally software
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and patient dignity
What we’re looking for
- Fully qualified Dentist with current GDC registration
- Experience in private dentistry
- A patient-first, compassionate approach
- Confidence working independently in changing environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Interest in community-based or domiciliary care
You do not need a separate domiciliary experience. If you're GDC registered and looking for a more flexible, purpose-led role, we'd love to hear from you.
What we offer
- Day rate of up to £450, depending on experience and travel commitments
- 4% lab fee deduction per day, regardless of volume
- No retention fees
- Flexible working pattern
- Modern portable equipment and surgery-standard mobile equipment
- Dentally software for efficient patient management
- Dedicated back-office, IT, scheduling, and operational support
- A shadow day so you can experience the role before making a decision
- The opportunity to join a growing service with real social impact
Ideal for dentists who want
- more flexibility in their week
- fewer patients per day
- less target-driven dentistry
- more meaningful patient interaction
- a part-time or portfolio role
- to support older adults and patients with access barriers
- a more rewarding alternative to traditional practice
Safeguarding
At Home Dental is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and the right to work in the UK.
If you're a dentist looking for flexibility, purpose, and a better kind of working day, we'd love to hear from you.
