What you will be doing: The EHS Advisor is an entry-level role within the site EHS team, supporting delivery of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programme across the Development Laboratories and Drug Substance Manufacturing areas. It is well suited to someone looking to begin or build an early career in EHS within a dynamic scientific and manufacturing environment. Asymchem will support your development so you can build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to succeed in the role:
- Support day-to-day EHS activities while learning how we maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
- Help keep systems and records up to date, including incident reports and supporting documentation.
- Support EHS investigations and develop your understanding of risk management and follow-up actions.
- Assist with EHS training activities and help support effective training administration across the site.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and gain exposure to site audit activities.
- Support environmental and sustainability programmes that contribute to responsible site operations.
- Assist with carbon footprinting and emissions data collection and analysis, building experience in sustainability-related activities.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience: A degree in Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks. A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work well with others and communicate clearly. A genuine interest in EHS and sustainability, with enthusiasm to learn and develop in the role.
