Responsibilities
- Lead activities related to new business development in defined region, including identifying potential new clients, developing and implementing work plan, monitoring progress, establishing performance measurements, tracking outcomes and adjusting plan as appropriate to meet sales target.
- Provide leadership and oversight of proposal development and explore opportunities for innovative business models to further differentiate Asymchem from competition.
- Identify and successfully implement differentiated BD mechanisms toward result-driven growth.
- Work with existing clients to maintain relationships and understand long term manufacturing strategies to ensure repeat business.
- Attend and actively participate in industry tradeshows, conferences, networking events, and client on-site and off-site meetings, publicise company’s capabilities and expand Asymchem’s CDMO brand awareness.
- Key BD liaison along with senior leadership during business issue management, create appropriate solutions.
Education/Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Life Science fields, MBA, M.S., or PhD from Life Science fields a plus.
- More than 5 years of business development/sales experience in the CRO/CDMO, Pharma & Biotech services or related health care industries with an existing customer network.
- Advanced experience relevant to the industry, markets, technologies and products.
- Experience/understanding of the proposal development process, business quotes, budgeting, and managing to defined timelines.
- Ability to adapt to biotech that do not have large organizations to provide value added solutions to meet customer wherever they are in their organization evolution.
- Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.
