We are looking for an organised and practical Project Manager to help deliver our ambitious Roundhouse Project: the construction of a full-scale, archaeologically informed Iron Age roundhouse within the Museum’s Outdoor Museum. You will coordinate the project as it moves through Building Warrant, pre-construction and the 2027 build, working with our architects, engineer, specialist craftspeople, archaeologists and Museum team. The role will include managing the project budget and programme, administering contracts, coordinating materials and site logistics, monitoring risks and ensuring the project meets its funder and reporting requirements.

  • Fixed term: 12 months, with potential extension subject to funding
  • Hours: 14 hours / 2 days per week
  • Salary: £12,360 for the 12-month contract
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Location: Remote/hybrid working can be agreed during the design and pre-construction phase; regular on-site presence in Gairloch will be required once groundworks and construction begin in 2027.
