Dalkeith Country Park is a truly special place. On the outskirts of Edinburgh, our beautiful 1,000-acre Estate is home to Restoration Yard’s gorgeous restaurant, as well as the Coffee Shop, Larder, Cabin and many other pop-up outlets throughout the year to cater for our wide range of guests. The catering team are passionate about creating memorable moments, whether our guests are with us for a spot of lunch, coffee & cake, or celebrating their wedding day.

As Kitchen Porter you will support the busy kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils;
  • keeping surfaces, equipment and kitchen storage areas clean and tidy;
  • assisting with basic food prep when required;
  • generally supporting the team to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen.

Working hours will be 30 to 35 per week and will include weekends.

A hardworking individual, you will take pride in your work and be someone the team can rely on. Candidates should be comfortable standing or lifting heavy items and able to work in a fast-paced environment. While experience isn’t required, previous work in a kitchen or cleaning role is a bonus.
