Overview
Plumbing & Gas Tutor – Brand New Centre
Location: South London/Kent
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
This is a unique opportunity to join a newly opened training centre—a blank slate where you can shape the environment, establish your own teaching style, and make a genuine impact from day one. We are partnering with a well-established, nationally recognised training provider expanding into a brand new site with state-of-the-art facilities, giving you the chance to put your own spin on how things are done.
Responsibilities
- Teaching Plumbing (Level 3), including PMES theory and practical elements
- Assessing learner coursework in line with awarding body standards
- Providing progress reports and pastoral support
- Maintaining a safe, well-stocked and disciplined workshop environment
- Collaborating with industry professionals and participating in events
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 Plumbing Qualification (e.g. NVQ3 / Advanced Craft Certificate)
- Relevant Gas Safe qualifications and on-site experience
- A teaching qualification (CertEd or equivalent)
- Strong presentation, communication, and IT skills
- A learner-first mindset and desire to shape a new training environment
Desirable Qualifications
- Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications (A1, TAQA, V1 etc.)
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar H&S training
- Experience within the building services or contracting industry
