We are working with a well‑established college group based in Yorkshire that is seeking a passionate and industry‑experienced Fabrication & Welding Lecturer to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis. Industry professionals are strongly encouraged to apply. If you have the right experience and enthusiasm for developing learners, the college will fully fund your teaching qualification.
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment in Fabrication and Welding within a workshop environment
- Develop engaging schemes of work, lesson plans and practical learning resources
- Assess learner work, provide timely feedback and maintain accurate progress records
- Set and monitor SMART targets to support learner achievement and progression
- Motivate and support FE learners in developing practical skills, technical knowledge and employability
- Carry out internal verification/moderation and contribute to quality improvement processes
- Participate in course promotion, recruitment activities and examination processes
- Maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge and professional standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding
- Recent industry experience in fabrication and welding
- Experience working with apprentices
- Passion for developing learners and supporting progression
- Strong organisational and communication skills
