About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Electrical Installations Tutor to join our team in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical professional with a passion for teaching and learning to deliver high-quality education to future electricians. You will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical training in Electrical Installations, supporting learners through City & Guilds and EAL qualifications at Level 3 and above.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching in all aspects of electrical installation, including both theory and practical skills.
- Teach and support learners working towards City & Guilds and EAL qualifications at Level 3 and above.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools in line with curriculum requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, performance, and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and employers to support the progression of apprentices.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations Qualification
- GCSE/O Level Maths and English (Grades A-C / 9-4)
- Certificate in Education or willingness to work towards.
- Experience working with apprentices in an educational or workplace setting.
- Strong industry background in electrical installations
