Join this team to support young people facing barriers to education. You will deliver engaging one-to-one and small group learning, both on-site and in the community, focusing on life skills, wellbeing, and progression. Working in a supportive team, you will help create a safe, inclusive environment and guide learners towards positive futures in education, training, or employment.

General Role Responsibilities

  • Consistently uphold and promote the company's EPIC ARC values and ethos in all aspects of work.
  • Work collaboratively as an effective member of the Really NEET team, building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, parents/carers, learners, and external professionals.
  • Follow and uphold safeguarding procedures in line with the company's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy at all times.
  • Deliver high-quality, on-site youth work that supports young people in overcoming complex and multiple barriers to education.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe, supportive environment in which young people feel confident to approach any member of staff with concerns or issues.
  • Carry out learner pick-ups and drop-offs when required, ensuring appropriate business insurance cover is in place and that vehicle tax and MOT requirements are met and maintained.
  • Accurately record all relevant information using company systems, including safeguarding records on CPOMS and learner information on HUBmis.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and promote safe working practices at all times.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with learners on-site in group settings and on a one-to-one basis, as well as off-site in learners' homes or within the community where required.
  • Plan and deliver bespoke workshops covering life skills, careers education, and wellbeing.
  • Plan and deliver one-to-one or two-to-one sessions tailored to individual learner needs, as required.
  • Deliver and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to raise learners' standards, progress, and attainment.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that include appropriate differentiation and extension activities to meet individual learners' needs and abilities.
  • Provide inclusive support to all young people, including learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Assess learners' work, monitor progress and attainment, and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Complete the Really NEET Teaching and Learning CPD programme and embed learning into professional practice.
  • Develop high-quality, engaging teaching materials that promote active participation and learning.
  • In collaboration with the SEN Coordinator, prepare, implement, monitor, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Create differentiated and accessible learning resources to ensure all learners can fully access the curriculum.
  • Work in line with Ofsted Outstanding and Good criteria, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work with learners aged 16-24, from Pre-Entry level through to Level 2.
  • Assess and mark learners' work, providing high-quality written and verbal feedback to support progress.
  • Support learner engagement by participating in Really NEET activities and events where required.
  • Carry out learner pick-ups and drop-offs using a personal vehicle, as required.
  • Ensure outcomes outlined in learners' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are met and that progression routes align with EHCP recommendations.
  • Identify and secure work experience, employment, and onward progression opportunities for learners, liaising closely with the SEND Lead throughout the process.
  • Support and promote positive transition and progression pathways for young people.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant SEND strategies appropriate to the current cohort of learners.
  • Contribute to educational reports and SEN documentation when requested by the SEN Coordinator.
