Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company has a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join the team to cover large scale, ground mount solar assets across the Suffolk region. This Solar Technician comes with a salary up to £40,000, with door to door pay and paid overtime too, including travel time. Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Technician role:
- Reporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets.
- Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites.
- Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties.
- Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues.
- Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets.
- Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems.
- Look for trends and use data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result.
