Responsibilities and duties of the Managing Director UK role
Reporting to the Group Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, you will:
- Lead the UK business, driving commercial growth and overall performance.
- Manage and develop high performing commercial teams.
- Build strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.
- Deliver the UK sales and marketing strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Oversee marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Take ownership of the UK P&L, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Identify new growth opportunities and expand market presence.
- Represent the business across the renewable energy industry.
- Promote a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Proven experience in a Managing Director, Commercial Director, or similar senior leadership role.
- Strong background in sales, marketing, and commercial strategy.
- Experience within renewable energy, solar, battery storage, or a related technical industry.
- Demonstrable success delivering revenue growth and scaling a business.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility.
- Experience leading multi disciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders
