Astute's Power team are looking to recruit a Microsoft Project Planner in Cheshire on a contract basis.
Key skills required for the Microsoft Project Planner role:
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Build and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned with outage scope
- Integrate contractor schedules into the master outage plan
- Liaise daily with engineering, maintenance, operations, and site management teams
- Track progress against baseline schedules and identify critical path impacts
- Produce daily and weekly progress reports for stakeholders
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and propose mitigation strategies
- Coordinate shutdown activities to ensure sequencing and resource optimisation
- Monitor labour, plant, and material resource allocations
- Support planning meetings, toolbox talks, and coordination briefings
- Ensure all planning activities align with site safety and compliance requirements
- Assist with change management and scope variations
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to post-outage reviews
Must have:
- Proven experience as a Planner on outage or shutdown projects
- Background in heavy industrial sectors
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- CSCS Card (or equivalent recognised Safety Passport)
