Astute's Power Team are working with one of the country's leading Waste Management companies and supporting the recruitment of their newest Energy from Waste facility. The Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant is currently under construction, and when complete will be exporting ~70MW of electricity to the grid, processing circa 600,000 tonnes of waste per year.
We are currently recruiting a Stores Controller to join the Maintenance Department where you will be responsible for management of the stores function within the power station. This will include supporting the procurement team with purchasing of materials, services and equipment whilst ensuring the stores have parts availability.

Responsibilities and duties:
As the Stores Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Managed and maintained inventory levels for stores stock and consumables, ensuring the continuous availability of critical materials.
  • Conducted routine stock checks and produced accurate inventory and performance reports.
  • Raised and managed purchase orders, processed invoices, and maintained effective supplier relationships.
  • Coordinated the timely and accurate receipt, documentation, and return of deliveries.
