Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit a Mechanical Technician to join its CCGT site in Hertfordshire. The Mechanical Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £50,000 and a very competitive benefit package including bonus and medical insurance.

Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Technician role:

  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability and availability.
  • Plan, prepare and supervise maintenance work, including the development of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Support major outages, inspections and overhaul activities, including contractor coordination and quality assurance.
  • Participate in the implementation of site safety rules as a Competent Person or Authorised Person, in line with training and competency requirements.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
