Astute are working on behalf of our client who are one of the country's leaders in the Environmental, Waste and Energy Recovery industries to recruit a Fleet Mechanical Engineering Manager. As the Fleet Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of all mechanical projects (including outages) and overseeing the mechanical engineering strategy for a fleet of Energy from Waste Power Stations. Responsibilities and duties:
- Engineering Support for all EFW assets relating to all mechanical plant issues.
- Management & delivery of mechanical projects, outages and plant upgrades.
- Ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work as defined by the Safety Rules for all work.
- Support the development of each asset's CMMS to meet engineering standards and best practice.
- Development and ongoing review of fleet wide Engineering standards.
- Provide oversight on Health & Safety issues relating to Mechanical Assets and provide support to the Authorising Engineer.
- Management & ownership of the GENSIP Mechanical standards and act as company representative.
- Lead plant performance and improvement projects focusing on mechanical aspects.
