Astute's Power Team are partnering with a Leading EPC Contractor within the Energy Sector. We are currently recruiting for a HV Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based in Stewartby, Bedfordshire. The HV Electrical Commissioning Engineer position comes with a day rate from £550.00 to £575.00 per day outside of IR35.
Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
- Lead and coordinate all high-voltage (HV) commissioning activities associated with the 298MW OCGT plant, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery in line with project milestones.
- Execute detailed HV commissioning plans, switching schedules, and energisation procedures, aligned with the overall project commissioning strategy and grid connection programme.
- Supervise and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV systems, including GIS/AIS switchgear, power transformers, generator step-up (GSU) transformers, protection.
