Astute's Power Team is partnered with a global company to recruit for an Automation and Control System Specialist to assist with the UK, and occasionally global, matters across the fleet of Energy from Waste Power Station assets. The vital Automation and Control System Specialist role comes with a salary of up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Private Medical + travel expenses + other benefits. This is a hybrid role which will involve travel across the UK as well as international travel.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Control System Maintenance & Support: Deliver technical assistance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for control systems, including Siemens PCS7 platforms.
  • System Upgrades & Configuration: Implement and configure control system upgrades to support changing operational needs, including hardware enhancements, software updates, and optimization of control strategies.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, networks, and field instrumentation to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
  • System Commissioning: Support the commissioning of new control systems and ensure they meet operational requirements.
